Article 3.  Plumbing Code

4-301.        Definition of plumbing.

The term plumbing as used in this article shall be construed to mean the installation of gas or water pipes, fixtures, apparatus and the necessary connections either for supplying gas or water to premises or for the removing of liquid and water-borne wastes from premises in the city, or both such purposes, and shall also denote installed fixtures, drainage and vent systems and gas or water distribution systems as the case may be.

4-302.        International plumbing code incorporated.

(a)   A certain document, one copy of which is on file in the office of the city clerk of the City of St. John, being marked and designated as the International Plumbing Code, 2012 edition, including Appendix Chapters B, C, D and E, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Plumbing Code of the City of St. John, in the State of Kansas, regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of plumbing systems as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Plumbing Code on file in the office of the City of St. John are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this legislation, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in this article.

(b)   The following sections are hereby revised:

Section 101.1. Insert: City of St. John for [NAME OF JURISDICTION].

Section 106.6.2. Insert: Such fees as are set forth in resolution of the governing body of the City of McPherson, as amended from time to time for [APPROPRIATE SCHEDULE].

Section 106.6.3. Insert: 80% in place of [PERCENTAGES IN TWO LOCATIONS].

Section 108.4. Insert: Misdemeanor for [OFFENSE], $500 for [DOLLAR AMOUNT], 30 days for [NUMBER OF DAYS].

Section 108.5. Insert: $250 as minimum fine, $500 as maximum fine, as appropriate for [DOLLAR AMOUNT IN TWO LOCATIONS].

Section 305.6.1. Insert: 12 inches for [NUMBER OF INCHES IN TWO LOCATIONS].

Section 904.1. Insert: 6 inches for [NUMBER OF INCHES].
